How to Import Photos from Mac Photos into Lightroom 6 ?

I recently experienced the unfortunate and apparently rare issue of a corrupt Lightroom Catalogue - and had to import my images into Apple 'Photos' from my SD cards whilst I was trying to sort out the problem.

I have now found out that my bad luck continues, because my images seem to be locked inside the 'Photos' programme - as that is how Apple have set it up. The images are not held on the HD of my MacBook separately, so I cannot merely import them as I would like to.

I should mention that some of the images are RAW and I would like to keep them RAW when I do whatever procedure is recommended.

Does anyone know of a way of getting them out of 'Photos' and into LR at all please ?

I have LR 6 - Standalone

Many Thanks

Amanda

Thank you so much Johan....

I have build 'mending' Lightroom over the past few days and so the brain is rather tired. I had read a complicated procedure on the Adobe forum for sorting my issue - which had led me nowhere.
I somehow knew that this forum would come up trumps. I'm really grateful and as I wasn't expecting an easy answer, I had overlooked checking the 'Photo' tools in the header.

Cheers...
