How to Find My Original Collection?

HI. Here's my workflow:

1. Import images into LR
2. In Library, view each image, flag the keepers.
3. Select only the keepers, create collection.
4. Process images for color gallery.
5. Export.
6. Go through the images again, selecting a new batch of keepers for BW
7. Create a new virtual copy collection, name it so-and-so BW.
8. Process for BW.
9. Export to BW folder.

My question is, how do I get back to the original collection? (Not the entire Import) I want to now select the images that will be posted in my client's gallery.

When I click on the original gallery name, I only pull up the most recently flagged images, not the entire collection.

When I go to Previous Import, it shows every image, color and BW, flagged and unflagged.
What I want is to go through each folder (there are four, from four 4gb cards), one at a time, only looking at my original keepers, and make a new collection for a Web folder.

Between step 3 (create the collection) and step 6 (select new batch), did you switch to the new collection? If so, you can use the back button (the left arrow at the left side of the screen, just above the filmstrip). Or you can pull down the selection (above the filmstrip where it tells you what you're currently viewing) to select from recent views.

The problem is, the original collection of 217 images, from which I selected 98 images to convert to BW, is now stuck on those 98 new images I selected. iow, I now have a new collection of 98 BW images, named Sandman 2 BW; plus the original collection, named Sandman 2, which used to contain 217 images, but now only shows the 98 images I flagged for BW; so I have two collections of 98 images, one in the original color, one converted to BW.

I thought if I created virtual copies, they would be separate from the original collection and I'd be able to switch back to the original collection and find it intact.

I click forward and back buttons, I also click on the individual collections (there are four), but I only get the images I flagged to become BW.

I really need to find the original collections as I had first created them. :-\

Ok - maybe I figured it out. I open the collection, go above to Attributes, select Flagged and Unflagged images - voila, they are all there.

Actually, there's no such thing as Unflagged and Flagged - oops - so here's the answer: in Library, in Attributes, I select None and voila, there they all are :icon_biggrin: . Whew.
