How to delete pics via a collection

I have three large directories of water drops pics (yes it happens to every photographer after having bought a flash ) which I shot in three subsequent days.
I brought all of them into ONE collection and then changed the sort order of the whole collection to "rating descendending".
I would have liked to delete from disk all the one stars but am unable to they are just deleted from the collection. Is it possible ?
I know I can do the same selecting the three folders in the Folders panel and then setting up a one star filter and then deleting.

You can delete from the disc while in a collection, but not with the basic Delete key. You have to use Ctrl-Alt-Shift-Delete instead.

In LR3b it gives you the option to delete from the collection but then shows you a warning that it isn't possible. I'm hoping that is stage one of a new dialog box that allows you to force delete the master....
