It's my understanding that the GPS data from my iPhone that comes in gray and italics in the metadata panel is only a suggestion, and it's baked it to the metadata. How do I make it permanent, and do so for multiple images.

Thanks,

Reid

Yep, the reverse geocoding is not fixed unless you click on the field label and select it. There isn't a way to confirm it as a batch process, at least at this point in time though.

I still cannot believe that Adobe programmed this module to work this way... a simple "OK" button would have enabled the selection of multiple images and an apply to all in one quick step... I do hope this is something that is addressed in LR 6.

Thanks!

Funny, I was on his site just the other day and found my quote from 2007 when I predicted:

“I think Lightroom will be to photographers what Photoshop is to photographs.”

Absolutely. I've complained about it directly to Adobe but it feels like one of those small things that never gets fixed.

We are all lamenting the fact that this functionality has been horribly implemented by Adobe.

Victoria, are we supposed to be able to just click on the entry to fix it in place? To make those entries permanent I have had to right-click on each of those fields and select the entry that appears at the top of the list. The list also includes some recently added tags but my experience has been that sometimes your most recent additions don't even appear there. Adobe was clearly phoning it in on the map module, which is really disappointing.

if you have multiple photos selected, an additional dialog will appear asking if you want to apply it to the entire selection.
