Hi Guys, I seem to have some image files on my hard disk that i suspect are not in LR. How can I check this?

You can use the folder panel to navigate to the folder in the file system. Right click on the folder to bring up the context menu and choose “Sync Folder” Any images not imported into the catalog will show as needing import. If the folder is not listed in the folder panel, then no images in that folder have been imported into Lightroom. Make sure that the “Do not import selected duplicates is checked in the Import dialog in case the images were imported using copy (and imported to a different location).

If there are only a few files you can also search for each file in Library. Click on Text above the images, choose Filename from the drop-down list and then enter the file name in the Search box. Just used this to check that some files were infact missing before I reimported them.
