I'm using a Leica M10. Current lenses have a 6-bit code that the camera converts to a Lens description. However this doesn't work for old lenses and non-Leica ones. I also have scanned film images where the "camera" is the scanner, and date is scanned date.

It's not clear to me just how to change the metadata for the above, preferably a batch at a time.

I can see the data, both in the column an the RHS of the Library module, and also in the drop-down if I click on "Metadata" in the Library filter bar above the pics.

Cheers

Thanks. However it seems to have limitations. As I'm familiar with exiftool.exe I'm working on changing the metadata of the files directly. Then deleting them from the LrC catalog and re-importing them. This last step is nexessary as LrC does not display externally updated metadata.

Cheers

Use ‘Save Metadata to file’ before you use LensTagger, and ‘Read Metadata from File’ after you used it. That should work, even for raw files. LensTagger has an (experimental) option to save to XMP, so you can try out if that works or should remain unchecked. I haven’t used LT recently, but I do believe it works fine.
