My Sony a77 EXIF data for my AT-X 116 PRO DX-II 11-16mm f/2.8 Lens is identified as a "20mm 2.8" lens. In Lightroom Develop I can change it to the correctly lens. Lightroom has the profile.

Is it possible to change the lens information during inport so the correct profile will be applied. It would be great if the lens name could changed also. I shoot raw (ARW) plus JPEG.

Unfortunately, LR doesn't let you change the lens information recorded in metadata (LR looks at both the industry standard EXIF fields and in MakerNotes). You could use the Lenstagger plugin after you import the photos if you really wanted to change the EXIF metadata.

If you primarily use just that one lens with the camera, you could set default settings for that camera that include the correct lens profile:
Set up raw defaults

If you regularly use multiple lens for that camera, you could define a different preset for each one, which you could choose when you import or apply after import to a batch of photos.
