How I get back to the catalog?

I imported a bunch of pictures and was starting to look at them. I clicked on the Quick Catalog button to see what it did. Duh, it took me to the quick catalog.

Now I cannot get back!!! I tried to reimport, but they were all grayed out, it said something like these are already in your catalog. Well how do I get the pictures back???

NM, I got back. But it was a PITA. I really don't like that about LR3 beta, if you click wrong on a picture it puts it in the quick catalog. What is the QC for anyway?

Do you mean Quick Collection ?

Quick Collection is just a way of temporarily grouping photos. If you don't like that little QC marker, go to View menu > View Options and turn it off.

Sounds like you're looking for a way to see all your photos, not just those in the Quick Collection. Just click on "All Photographs" in the left panel, right above Quick Collection.

You can also use the Back button. It's the left arrow in the black bar right above the filmstrip at the bottom of the screen.
