How can I include iCloud photos in library without duplicating them?

Hi,

I am using LR Classic on a PC, and I have a folder in Pictures that syncs with iCloud. I would like to include those photos in my LR catalogue. However, I don't see a way of using auto-import without copying the photos into a separate folder. How can I include them in the catalog and keep the files where they are - with the advantage of saving storage space and being able to delete files throughout iCloud by deleting them from LR?

A second question: if there is a way of importing iCloud items, can I automatically exclude videos and import photos only to the Catalog?

Thanks!

Yep, there's a File Type sort order available. That's page 26.
