Hi,

I have Lightroom Classic on my Mac and I have Lightroom Mobile App on my iPad.

At the moment when I view my photos on my iPad it connects via the internet to download the detail of the photo. However, I want to be able to view and edit my photos on my iPad whilst not connected to the internet.

I think I need to have smart previews downloaded onto my iPad....... But A) I don't know if that is correct and B) I don't know how to do it.

Please can someone help.

Thanks

Jo

Solution
Thank you - That helps a lot, albeit I wish I had less albums!
In that case, just create a new collection/album containing all the photos, and set it to Store Locally.

So go to All Synced Photos in LrC, select everything, and add them all to the new "Stored Locally" collection. Every so often I wouild empty this collection and repopulate it.
Click the three dots next to an album name and Store Locally is an option.

Thank you very much - that makes sense and I've just done it - Now I can bore everyone even if I don't have an internet connection! How do I close this chat or mark as resolved? Jo

I think you should see a "Mark as Solution" button on the right. I've set it.

Sorry to your "everyone" for helping ;)

A trick I learned on this forum from @Jim Wilde was to create an All Photos album, and just click the three dots/Store Locally for this album .
You need to add new photos to it to keep it complete.
I did this within Lightroom Cloudy, so the suggestion not same as previous which used LrC. Dont know if any pros/cons doing via LrC or LR
There was a bug whereby videos dint sync when this was last discussed. Dont know if it has been fixed. See this thread
