Hockey Template in Mogrify

Hi
Can I export all my pictures with a template that I made in photoshop cs4 and elements 7?
I shoot hockey pictures and when I export them, I want them to have the same template for all of the shots (team name, position, players name, etc).
How would I do this.

By using Tiles and Captions in your metadata and choosing those fields to fill text in LR2/Mogrify.

P.S.: I will have soon to do same with Football players... ;)

Im very new at this.
The template I want to use is a Photoshop Template.

In the guide, under "Text annotation" it is very well explained how to pull information from the "Title" and or "Caption" fields or others for that matter. For the graphical side of your template, you should look for "ID Plate".

In the export dialog there is a section that is called "Text Annotation". Within that section there is a large box labeled "Define your text". This is where you enter the test you want to place on the the image. Below that box is a drop down that is labeled "Add Token". This bring in test from your image. For your scenario, the two most useful things there would be "Title" and "Caption". You can apply titles and captions to your photos and then that data would be automatically pulled in.

For example - You could title all your photos with the team name and then put position and player name in the caption.

Then in Mogrify you could put "{title} - {caption}" which would put the information in with the title and the caption separated by a hyphen.

My template is a layered graphic template, not just text.
I want to include the graphics and layers.

You will have to make a PNG from it first to be used with LR2/Mogrify.

I know this can be done in ExpressDigital.
I just thought it might be able to do it in Lightroom or Photoshop.

It can be done with Lightroom and LR2/Mogrify as people have tried to explain here.

Just create the proper graphics watermark in Photoshop and save this as a PNG and refer to this in the LR2/Mogrify watermark section.

Add the correct metadata (like players name, etc) to the images and use that in the texts added with LR2/Mogrify. Non-changing text can be entered directly in LR2/Mogrify and when you save the export settings to a preset this can be changed easily.

Maybe you wanted to keep layers because you had the players' number and names on layers you want to edit... In this case, remove those text layers and just keep the graphical layout to make a PNG for LR2/Mogrify and put the Players' info in Lightroom's metadata for LR2/Mogrify to use in its own text.

1. I made the template.
2. Saved it as a png
3. Pointed to it in Mogrify
But I need help with the settings?
I tried many settings and cant get the png to cover the whole picture.
What settings do I use in Mogrify Graphical Watermarks?

Hi Shawn, sorry, been a manic week.

I've just downloaded and had a play and first port of call - it needs to be a transparent PNG.

Once you've got it as a transparent PNG, then we'll be able to sort out the settings with no problem.

Have you got that file layered? You just want it with no white background (i.e. see the checkerboard background) before you save as png.

But what export settings in LR export?
What options do I check in Mogrify Graphical Watermarks?
