Help with PP in LR2

Hi!
Wondering if someone can help me figure out why when I process a photo (I'm using a JPEG) and I save the results........when I open up the photo on my computer, the coloring is much different then it appears in LR, and I just saved the photo, but the 2 are totally different........aaarrrrrrrrrrrrgggghh!!!
Help......please!!

My color space selected is AdobeRGB 1998, if that info helps.

Certainly, the color space is a possible explanation. Most people use sRGB, and this works well with most areas of digital photography.

You do know that there is no "save" command in Lightroom, don't you? So, please explain exactly what you did, and we may be able to help you further.

Actually I "exported" it....which I just thought was LR's way of saving.
How might I do this better? Thank you really so much!

How do you intend to use the image? Certainly, shooting the image in AdobeRGB JPGs straight out of camera is OK, Lr knows what to do with that. However, almost no consumer software, including the bulk of web browsers and image viewers can handle AdobeRGB. As Paige says, the best choice there is sRGB.

Problems with monitor drivers and calibration can also cause these kinds of problems. Are you calibrating? Drivers up to date?

Save vs. export: You're right, more or less the same meaning. Because of the intricacy of the Lr interface, we strive to use (and teach) the assigned terminology, to help rule out miscommunication here at the forums. Sounds picky, but saves time in the long run.

LR automatically saves your photo as you edit it. This is why there is no need for a save command. Nor is there a need to export as a normal part of your workflow. You only export when you need the photo for non-Lightroom purposes.
