Help with edits not showing outside of LR2.3

When I export a .tif (has been edited in CS4) as a .jpg all the edits done in LR show up great within LR2.3 and in Windows explorer. Also when exporting the .jpg to smugmug it has no problems. However, when I go to Explorer and use the "set as desktop backround" or open the .jpg in Lview all the edits are gone and I end up with the unedited version as wallpaper. This only happens to files that were edited in Photoshop CS4 and saved back into lightroom.????

What file type did you start with? Raw, JPG, ?

I'm not quite sure I understand the workflow, let me verify:
I'm presuming you started raw, sent TIF to CS4, returned the TIF to LR, and then exported JPG. Is that the workflow?

Windows Explorer thumbnail/filmstrip view of the JPG matches Lr's display of the TIF?
Windows Explorer 'set JPG as background' displays the JPG incorrectly as wallpaper?
LView displays JPG differently from Win Explorer, or LR's TIF, but matching the incorrect wallpaper?

That's a bit bizarre. I can sort of cobble up a rationalization if you started with JPG files to begin with, but not if you started with raw.

Maybe Alann is just seeing color discrepancies. If this is the case, this may be just a color management problem... :roll:

Start with cr2 file (raw)
edit in photoshop cs4
"save" is imported as .tif
export tif as jpg.

If I do all edits in LR2 everything works great. ??
Tried uninstall LR2 and reinstall
If it is a color management problem it just started today. Been using LR and CS4 for a few months with no problem...now this.

Thanks for the replies. When I sat and read my last response it was obvious that the issue was CS4. Did the Ctl/ALT/Shift while starting CS4 and reset all settings to default. It now works. Guess I'm kinda "slow" sometimes.

Well, glad you're fixed, didn't make sense as a Lr/JPG problem, at least on the surface.
