I had a complete blonde moment yesterday and deleted a Lightroom catalogue from an external hard drive. Now I need to get it back.
I've run recovery software on the hard drive and found the missing catalogue. I've copied everything across onto my computer. I've checked the file names and sizes and everything matches.
However... when I try to import the catalogue in LR, I get the error "this appears to be an invalid catalogue" (or something similar to that).
When I try to simply open the catalogue in LR, I get the error "the Lightroom catalog is corrupt and cannot be used" when I click repair, it says "cannot be repaired at this time".
Am I out of luck? I obviously still have my original images saved elsewhere so it's not completely the end of the world. But I potentially have lost about 8 hours work...
