Help! Runtime error caused by McAfee Spamkiller

I'm working under a deadline, and I go to open LR and a runtime error occurs. Vista's diagnostic says it is caused by McAfee Spamkiller and they are working on the problem, no way currently to resolve. I try deleting McAfee Spamkiller and the problem lingers. Should I delete LR and reinstall or just wait? It is running fine on the desktop, but husband has to use that computer. Help!

It certainly won't hurt anything to uninstall/reinstall LR. All your photos, presets and adjustments will be safe. ( Of course, you have backups anyway right?) And maybe it will help ....

I can't speak to Vista, I'm running WinXP. I've been so disgusted with the state of anti-virus, etc. and performance loss, I don't run any on my LR machine at all. I am extremely careful about d/l's etc, and rely on my router firewall.

Perhaps a Vista/McAfee user will be by to help. I know this isn't much help, but I wanted you to know your plea is being heard .

Thanks Brad. At least I know I can uninstall and reinstall without losing everything!!
