I've designed the rest of my website in GoLive CS and I hope that is compatible with LR2. I've looked for LR2's compatibility on the website and there's no mention of it. Only that you use Adobe Photoshop Extended CS3 for further editing.

How can link the pages into my GoLive pages and it's index page?

I know one way is through using the identity plate with a link. However, how do I know what those pages are called for my GoLive index page so I can link the pages?

:?

Do I just name them what I need to and they'll be linked? Doesn't seem like that would work. :?

I haven't tried GoLive, but any html editor will work. All you need to do is export your galleries from Lightroom into the subfolders of your website while it's still on your hard drive, and then you can use GoLive to create any links you want, and you'll be able to see the file names.

If you have a look in the Site Info panel in LR, you'll also see a single web link option there too.

Still not working

All my pages are ready to go but ... GoLive says to drag them in one at a time because they are index pages ... of course I understand that. Where do I put them? And placing them into the page alters their address thus confusing the original location of the pictures. AARGH!

I wondering if I should have placed them in a different folder name and different individual folder names? :?:

This is how they are right now:

THE ARCHIVE HD
>USERS
>MY FOLDER
>DOCUMENTS
>* WEB SITES
>Signs
>LR Pages
>Banners Page (1 folder where a page of pictures reside)

My software program is on my main drive.

I wonder if this is a version issue problem and GoLive isn't allowing it. :?:

This is very confusing right now ... makes me want to scream! :x

The last time I published this website it was with Photoshop's photo organizer. It worked fine and there were plenty of index.html pages in it besides the home page which must be called that.

Also there's a link which I placed on the pages which I exported from LR2. None of them work. Talk about frustrating! :x

Help! Links on LR2 Created Pages Don't Work!

I wonder if this is a glitch in the program. Every single one of my website pages' links made in LR2 don't work. The links are at the top in the menu header and when clicked nothing happens. I have the link go to my portfolio page of my website. But nada happens. :?: I've already redone the pages three times to see if there's an error on my part. Doesn't make a difference though. :x

I wonder if you can only use the site's home page or an email. :?: In other words, it doesn't allow longer links.

I got all my pages working though except for these darned links. :x

A workaround would be linking your pages directly by editing the uploaded pages; I will try longer links in my webgalleries to test it and will let you know.

I wonder if these links won't work while you're testing them Adobe GoLive. That's what I've done to test them. I wonder if you have to up load your website to make them work. :?:

Thanks for the reply.

New info

This is what I found in the source code for my Banners page:

<custom>
<groupTitle>Island Signs' Banners</groupTitle>
<groupDescription>Banners: Full color, viny lettering, vinyl graphics, full color printed banners</groupDescription>
<siteTitle>Custom Built Signs - A Custom Sign Service</siteTitle>
<contactName>Island Signs - 888-675-3918 - islandsigns at comcast dot net</contactName>

<contactEmail>http://www.custombuiltsigns.com/Pages/portfolio.html</contactEmail>
</custom>

The italicized, bold text is what I would click to get to the /Pages/portfolio.html portion of the site.

The contact must be an email, in bold red, but it gives the option in LR2 for a website. However, the code says contactEmail. How can I change this? Do I just write in the code? Or do assume it connects on the website? I haven't posted the site to the web yet. So I don't know whether it actually works online. I've only tested it.

I'm not sure I'm following how you've got it set up, but I'd do something like

documents/websites/mywebsite/index.html - home page
documents/websites/mywebsite/galleries/gallery1/ - first gallery folder as LR outputs it, including its index.html
documents/websites/mywebsite/galleries/gallery2/ - second gallery folder as LR outputs it, including its index.html

I'd drag and drop those around within Explorer/Finder and then look at them in GoLive, if it's complaining.

It Works! Yippee!

I finally figured this out. It took several tries and errors - and finally the light bulb worked. ;)

The link works too. I remembered something about the links made in Photoshop's web pages not working until they were posted online. I trusted my memory and posted the website. Everything is up and going perfect.

My error was naming the pages incorrectly. I had more than one word. And even though LR2 is supposed to hyphenate the words, it didn't.

As usual I figured things out on my own.

Thanks for this forum to help me figure this out.

That's good to hear Write Truth!

When you say LR is supposed to hyphenate the words... where are you looking?
