I need your help. All my photos are suddenly marked as 'offline or missing'.

All my photos are normally on the WD USB2 G: harddisk, and I import photos directly from EOS_DIGITAL F: which is my CF card. So far no problems, this has worked perfectly for over 1.5 years.

Now when you have a look at the printscreen I attached below, you'll see that according to LR all my photos (2836 RAW images) are on the 2GB CF card and the five photos I imported yesterday are on the external harddisk.

I really don't know what happened but obviously I don't have 3''' images on a CF card. The images are still on the harddrive (already checked that), but LR can't find them. I tried the 'find missing folder' function but I get an error saying "the selected folder is already in Lightroom".

What can I do to solve this problem? Can I drag and drop my main folder from F: to G: ? Has anyone had this problem before?

I might have done something wrong, but it could also be a LR2.1 error as this is the first time I imported photos using 2.1.

If you do a search for one of the filenames, does it appear twice in your catalog? I'm wondering if it thinks they're on both drives, although how it could come to that conclusion.....! Other than that, try clicking on the question mark on one, and relink that one, and it should relink the rest.

No it appears only once.

Thanks, that worked. I could not relocate my root folder ('aviation') but I could relink all subfolders, so everything is back to normal. Now I'll try to import some photos again and see if it happens again...

Oh that's good!
