I reloaded my computer. I saved everything off to my external drive. Redid the pc. I loaded Lightroom but hadn't saved my images back onto my computer. My friend asked to see some of her daughter's photos I took, so I used lightrom to access my external drive...it created a catalog from the external drive.
I then knocked the drive off the table onto a tile floor...and it is dead.
I feel so teased! I can see the photos in lightroom still....even zoom in and out, but I can't make lightroom save the images with the original files not 'located'.
Short of screen capturing (which I am close to doing) is there any way to trick lightroom into saving the image without the original file?
