Just thought I'd jump in and say 'Hi'.

I'm fairly new to light room, but very impressed with what I've been able to do with it with ' training.

Looking forward to learning from the people here.

Chad

Welcome to the forums Chad!
And thanks for your signature as it may be usefull if you have questions...
Having your Lightroom version and OS version would be most usefull tough.

Edited. Now If I can just figure out why my profile pic won't post....

We don't have the profile pics enabled but you could place a feature request in the website area: http://www.lightroomqueen.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=1'

Thanks for updating your signature, it is a real effort to be asking "what's your OS???" all the time.......

Enjoy!!:lol::lol:
edit:I see what you mean, I presume you followed the instructions?? Tell us what you did or did not do Chad.

Hi Chad, welcome aboard.

What do you do at Adobe?

Yeah, I followed the instructions about posting a profile pic that I received when I signed up. Since I was 'outing' myself as an Adobe employee, I thought I should be a good corporate citizen and play by the board rules.

The instructions on sign up (or after, don't remember which) asks you to put up a profile pic. I've used vBulletin systems before, so I'm familiar with the 2''x2'' (or 8' k) pic rules. I was kinda flummoxed that I could not use my typical avatar that meets criteria. I spent about 3' minutes in fireworks trying to tweak it to get accepted. Once I gave up, I got the JM logo to appear. So it's on the boards end (and I'm not losing my sanity).

To the other poster - I work in the Government sales group as a technical pre-sales engineer on the Acrobat Connect Pro line. I primarily work with Department of Defense accounts, plus sideline with the State and Local sales team.

So if you guys have Adobe Connect Pro questions, feel free to ask me about that via PM. That is something 'Adobe' I do know quite a bit about.

Interesting job Chad. Well welcome aboard - great to have another Adobe rep around here!

Very handy Chad, as an Expert I am aware of Connect and have found it useful. Do you think there is potential to use it for remote tutoring?

Absolutely. I do a lot of software training with Connect now as it is. The ability to do 'see me /show me' types of call with Connect leads to believe that it would be a great tool for that. I primarily use Connect to train Connect users, but I could see it being used to show me the problems I have with Lightroom 2 right now.

It's much faster to show someone how to do something that is a visual process vs talk them through it. I used to do a lot of technical support before this job, and the ability to walk them through a process remote shaved 5'-7'% of the time off of calls.

Great Chad, I'll PM you next week when I have some time available to discuss this.
Thanks......
