I am delighted to join the Lightroom Queen community. I am interested in photo editing in Lightroom, learning about presets, color correction, and workflows. I hope to find useful tips here, exchange experiences, and participate in discussions. Thank you for the warm welcome!

Welcome to the forum! Which version(s) of LR are you using?

Welcome! You'll find lots of information on the site, and great assistance from the Members.

So much has changed in the last few years you may was well start off with a good workflow. There is a suggested order of edits to prevent this icon from turning organs. If it does you can reset it. Most of the time things look OK but the warning is you may have unexpected results. There have been threads on other forums where people don't care and reset as they edit. I only had one unexpected result before coming across this. A weird large halo that I could not get rid off unless I started over.

I video explaining it.

When you scroll down that link you may find that list a bit overwhelming. I created my own short list to keep it simpler. To start I don't use HRD, not yet anyway.

Denoise AI is first which automatically applies Raw Detials. If I don't use Denoise AI, I always apply Raw Details. I also rarely use Super Resolution so I'll leave it out for now. If you apply Denoise AI or Raw Details you can't apply Super Resolution to the original RAW file but there are work arounds.

After step one I use the Remove Tool icon as a trigger. It is located in the first image I posted. It's the eraser between the and red eye icons. Will I be using any tools there? If yes I follow the order in step two. If not I move on.

It has been pretty easy to adapt to this. The first two steps are the key for me that get things rolling, After that it's pretty basic.

Don't be afraid to ask question. Lots of good info here and on YouTube to explain the details of how al the tools work.

I just realized I forgot to ask. Are you familiar with how the LrC Catalogue system works? Getting a good start there is very important as well.
