Harddrive crashed...no backups

Hello all. I am hoping you can help me with an issue that came up. I have been backing up or saving all of my pictures on an external harddrive. The harddrive crashed and I am unable to recover the photos on the harddrive after sending it out to a couple of data recovery specialist.

My dilema now is I have customer order for some of those pictures that I can no longer access. Seeing I am still able to see those images as preview in Lightroom, is it possible to still use the preview for printing 4X6's or larger?

What are my options?

I look forward to any advice you can provide me.
