I had a hard drive crash. I still have the Archive disk of original unprocessed files. My Lightroom catalog has all the adjustment and editing information for the original work; just no files to process against. Can I load the archive files from my back up DVD and in some way apply the Lightroom catalog adjustments to these files?

Hi Bill, welcome to the forum!

Sorry to hear about your hard drive crash.

To restore the files, it's just a case of putting them back where LR's expecting. That's the simplest option by far. Do your backups have the same filenames as LR's expecting?

Thanks Victoria. Since the original external drive crashed, I have replaced it with a new external drive. The old drive had the name 'mybook', the new is called 'bigbook'. Should I change the name of the drive to 'mybook' and then load the orginals into a folder with the old folder name and relative location, or do I only need to create a folder name in the new hard drive?

It depends on what shows on your folders panel at the moment Bill. Do you know how to do a screenshot of your folders panel? Changing the name (if you're mac based) would be the simplest solution, but not necessarily necessary.
