Hi, I'm Halfje-Bruin (or Kees de Bruin for real) and I'm from the Netherlands but currently I'm living and working in Manly, Australia. I've been into photography for about 1' years now in a purely non-professional way, mostly shooting on holidays and events at the local sports club. I started with a Pentax film camera and moved to digital (Nikon D7', now D2'') about 3 years ago.
For software I've been using RawShooter Essential and Premium at first but moved to Photoshop CS2/ACR because of the easier workflow. After the beta of Lightroom was released I gave it a try and loved the way I could manage my photos. Since then I've upgraded to CS3 and Lightroom 1.2 but recently I've been playing with DxO Optics Pro in combination with Lightroom/CS3. This combo looks very promising and I'm wondering what the new DxO Optics Pro version 5.' will bring compared to ACR.
The reason for me to join this forum is to learn more about using Lightroom. I have the Evening and Kelby books but these are still in the Netherlands. So when I have questions I know there is a place for me to go.
For those interested, some of my work can be seen on my website: http://www.halfje-bruin.nl/photos/
