Edit in Photoshop different in Mac vs Win

Hi all,

I just joined the forum (lurking around for answers for a while).

I use LR both on Mac and Windows, and I notice that in Mac, Edit in Photoshop automatically re-import modified files in the folder, so the original and the modified files appear side-by-side... very useful.

However, in Windows, when I edited an image in Photoshop and saved, I have to re-import the modified file manually to get it into the original folder, although it created a new "folder" view that I cannot get rid off.

I'm sure you all have noticed this and if I may ask whether there is a way to make the Windows version behave like the Mac version. And why the difference in the first place?

On Windows XP:
My Lr is version 2.' 481478 Camera Raw 4.5
My PS is CS3 Extended version 1'.'.1

On OS X: I have to check on Monday, it's at work.

OK, there were known bugs in this with that LR 2.' build.

Upgrade to Lr 2.1 or 2.2. Be aware that some/many folks are 'disappointed' with the Lr 2.2 release, performance wise.

Yes Brad - and when my Victorian grandmother was "disappointed" most everyone was very sorry. :)
