Used to just have a grid appear as soon as I started rotating an image in the crop tool. The grid no longer appears when I start rotating an image. Using LR 2.6 on Mac OSX 1'.5.8. Other than that the crop tool is working just fine. I saw one posting that said you need to use the option key on the Mac to see the grid while rotating but this doesn't help. I would love to get that rotation grid back.

Carl, welcome to the forums. I'm not sure Paige's answer will be helpful. I think it's possible he misinterpeted/misread the question, and is addressing a different grid problem.

That said, I'm not sure I can help either. I'm unable to make my crop angle alignment grid disappear. There are a number of options and orientations for the crop size/position overlay, which are changed by pressing "O" and shift-"O" with the crop tool active, but they seem to have no effect on the angle overlay. I guess you might want to start with http://www.lightroomqueen.com/community/index.php?topic=1645.' particularly paying attention to #'s 4,5 and 6.

The standard troubleshooting worked. I deleted my preferences file and the alignment grid for the crop tool rotate function came back. :)
