Green eyes

Hi,

Is there a way with LR 2.1 to remove cats and dogs green (or bright orange) eyes. I have tried unsuccessfully with the "red eye remover".

All suggestions will be appreciated.

Unfortunately, the red-eye tool is intended and tuned for human red-eyes. I once read up on why people and animals are different colors, but I forget already.

But experiment with one of these:
1) Use the local correction brush to apply negative saturation to the 'zombie' eyes.
2) Use the clone/heal, to copy in a black area of the image (if available somewhere) over the 'zombie' eyes.

It's not magical, you'll probably have to fool around a little to get something you like. And there are some you just won't be able to fix.

I was just trying to fix my cat's glowing-red eyes today. Hopefully someone will contribute a solution!

This isn't LR specific. Do you happen to have Paint Shop Pro? You can adjust it's red eye removal tool for animal eyes. It's kind of a neat tool, you can adjust the glint, all sorts of parameters.

Try to desaturate/darken with the local adjustment brush. But that would make a nice feature request to ask for a choice of base colors panel with the Red Eye Removal tool...
