Just thought I'd add my vote to go back to 2.1.
Too many slowdowns and freezes.
I wonder how many others have reverted? Poll?

It's just getting so painful now that i am looking to replace LR as my primary software.
I want stability FIRST please Adobe. Then add bells and whilstles.

:?: I'm a wedding and PR photographer. Which products should I check out for DAM, RAW convertion?

I tried 2.2 and was unhappy. I am back at 2.1 now and happy. Don't bother with a poll ... if you don't like the way 2.2 was performing, go back to 2.1.

Yes I've gone back

...so far so good. But LR is strange in my experience - from version 1 to present - all the same. It may work OK for a while, then for no apparent reason (or change to my PC config) it will start to play up. Got to say that the best versions were 1.4 and 2.1.

Stick with 2.1 for now. Something definitely went adrift at the last minute with 2.2. By all means use the Official Feature Request/Bug Report Form to voice your request for stability over features. And FWIW, seeing as you have a Mac and a PC, the Mac version is generally more stable, I guess due to the limited range of hardware and drivers.

Sorry for my ignorance, but how do you go back to 2.1. Is it simply a matter of deleting 2.2 and then reinstalling 2.1 from the download file?

Yep, Windows, just uninstall then reinstall. Mac may require finding the pkg file and deleting that as well as the application.

I'm a wedding and portrait guy.
I can wholeheartedly recommend IDImager for a DAM solution.
Its a feature packed program that handles all aspects of DAM, plus the guy that wrote the program returns my emails when I have questions/issues. Now that doesnt happen often.:D

BTW, I prefer 2.2. 2.1 for me was a nightmare of regular crashes. 2.2 still crashes but nowhere near as much.
