Getting images into Collections

Hi,

I am using LR 1.3 on XP and am having trouble getting images into a collection.
I am unable to click and drag from the grid view to the collection, it will sometimes allow me to drag up from the filmstrip but only one image at a time. The only way I can easily move a batch of images is to highlight them then right click on the collection name and use "add selected photos to this collection".
According to the Help and Lightroom books I have read I should be able to drag from the grid or filmstrip to the collection.

Does anyone have any views or advice?

Make sure that you are dragging from the centre of the thumbnail and not the "frame" around it.
