Getting existing folder into LR folder list

I had this problem a couple of years ago but can't remember the fix.

I opened my 2''9 folder outside of LR on my Mac so LR puts newly imported pictures into the right sub folder below 2''9 but doesn't show "2''9" folder in the folder list panel. How do I fix that?

Current path is ...Pictures/2''9/sub-folder

It got easier - now just right click on folder and click 'Add Parent Folder'. That'll show the next level up, and you can keep going up if you need to.

LOL Pete. It used to be a right rigmarole trying to import dummy images and so forth, so this is a massive turn up for the books. You can do the reverse too.
