Import Fuji X-T3 Raw Files and LR 5.7.1

Have looked through the forum, but still not clear. I'm trying to use X-T3 raw files with Lightroom 5.7.1 without any luck. Downloaded Fuji Raw File Converter EX Silkypix and still not reading files. Using Windows 10 on a PC. The files show up on the computer, but not in LR. Believe I read latest LR 6 will work, but would like some advice before that is even an option.

Lightroom Classic, from 8, supports the X-T3, not Lr6.

Thanks Paul. Might have not bought the camera had I done some pre purchase investigating.

That camera was first supported in LR Classic 8.0. Your current version won't import its raw files. You can, however download Adobe's free DNG converter and convert your Fuji raw files to DNGs. Your version of Lightroom will import those. The DNG files are just as raw as the files they are created from, and no image information is lost in the conversion.
