I just purchased a Fujifilm X/T 4. I have been looking here in past posts about the Lightroom issue with Fuji raw files.

Here in August of 2021, is there any news from Adobe that they will finally address this issue?

I have tried Capture One Express but I can't make the switch since I have too many years and images invested in Lightroom. So I am looking at the Iridient X-Transformer plug-in. Upfront I was disappointed that I would need to import then convert to Iridient. I was hoping that this could just be completed when importing into Lr.

You would be better off ignoring the "folk lore" and try editing Fuji files yourself. I have been editing raf files for the last 18 months or so and see no significant problems. You do have to learn how to use "sharpen" properly (if you actually need it) but that is not an Adobe fault it is a work flow. Adobe have done a lot of work since the days when RAF firsts hit the streets. So in a nutshell, stop reading these reports and start using/practicing. You will find you do not need Iridient or the like. Lr works just fine - just do not oversharpen.
