Forum sort order

Ok, this may be impossible, but I was thinking about how many people mistakenly post in Tips & Tricks, and I ended up looking at the sort order of the forums, and I noticed that they're the order of them seems a little odd. So I was wondering how easy it is to change the order of them to:

Lightroom Announcements
Lightroom General Discussion
Lightroom 1.x Open Discussion (is it worth merging this back into General... rare that new posters post in there for 1.x anyway)
Lightroom Troubleshooting
Lightroom Feature Requests
Lightroom Plugin Discussion
Lightroom Tips & Tricks
Lightroom 2.' BETA Discussion (closed)

Any thoughts?

Presuming Ian can work the necessary magic....

I agree that maybe merging the 1.x back into the general population is OK. Not much traffic. And I agree, it often ends up in the General forum anyway.

Presumably(hopefully) at some point, the Beta discussion will need to be reopened, and perhaps temporarily raised higher in the sort order.

I don't see why Tips/Tricks is so tempting to people, even with an explanatory header post, but ...
the lower down the list the better, for that. How about a rename to something along the lines of Lightroom References(or Resources), Tips & Tricks. Lightroom Fun Facts. Lightroom Read Me's.Lightroom Handy Things to Know, Lightroom Stop Posting Questions Here Aaargh.

The proposed order makes sense to me.

Yeah, I wondered about the beta forum too - lose the 2.' from the name, and re-open it whenever there's a new beta available (proper version, not just X.x release betas), rather than starting a new forum each time. (And to anyone reading this, that doesn't mean there will definitely be future betas - anyone who knows couldn't say anyway).

LOL at your new T&T names. Or just make it Mod/Guru only posting, and anyone else can request to have their thread moved there.

I think that moderated posts or something similar as you suggest is the best suggestion for the Tips forum. If we can arrange to keep the accumulating threads open....

I agree, future betas are anybody's guess, but going on Adobe's past history with Lr, and AnitaD's recent interest in user inputs/opinions, I assume that it'll happen sometime. But I've been wrong before.

Good suggestion Victoria on the sort order and maybe make Tips ( or whatever name we come up with) Moderator only.Beta could do with just being Beta without a version. Merge the 1. into GD is fine by me.
