Since updating to Lightroom 12 My folder arrangement has altered. I have for many years imported and arranged Folders by date. If necessary dragging within Lightroom into order so they appear oldest first. ie 2019-2022.
Now I find that the Lightroom has split the arrangement into two and altered things .
Screen shot attached. The only other operation carried out since updating Lightroom was to run Disk Utility


any clues. Would I be safe to reaarange in Lightroom as before.

Thank you for your reply. Your method whilst no doubt sound looked difficult to me. So I solved the problem by just dragging folders into the Lightroom folder and let Lightroom sort out the order. Looks ok.

In that case it probably wasn't the capitalization error, but just user error. Those cut-off screenshots can be deceiving. The capitalization error is not that simple to solve.
