Hey guys,

I recently renamed a folder that Lightroom imports its files to. I somehow managed to have all the photographs imported to a folder that Lightroom named as 2''8-*-* so as not to confuse myself I renamed it to "all imports." Now I just realized that I cannot develop any of these files since Lightroom doesn't know to look in the "all imports" folder.

What steps do I take to let Lightroom know what folder to look in? I don't want to try and experiment because there's the possibility of making it worse.

Thanks!

p.s. if you need more clarification let me know

John, so what's the folder named now? I'm a little confused about which is 'before' and which is 'after'.

Did you rename the folder in Windows (I'm guessing you're on Win), or with Lr?

Usually it's just a matter of right clicking on the parent folder in the Lr Folder Panel, choosing locate, and navigating to the proper folder.

Brad,

The folder is now named "all imports." In the beginning, Lightroom named the folder with a specific date which I don't quite remember. Yes I renamed it using Windows.

Just right click the folder in LR folder panel and you can re-link it.
In future as Brad states, rename the folder in LR.
