Hi Karsten, On Mac OSX should the plug in be placed in the Lightroom Package >>Plugins folder
Or
best left in a folder next to the Catalog
I've done the latter, just wanted to check this is ok.

Hi Glenn, as there are no technical requirements regarding where the plugin needs to reside on your disk, you can place it wherever you think best suits your file and folder organization. The plugin preferences are stored alongside the Lightroom preferences, so you can even move the plugin to a different folder if you wish without losing anything.

Personally, I prefer to keep all plugins together in a single 'Plugins' folder, but that's just my preference — others may have different reasons for managing plugins in a different way.
