I love the easy way to publish to Flickr from Lightroom 3 beta. Only problem is, uploaded photos have safety filter set to "moderate" and not "safe" (my default). If the uploaded photos are selected on Flickr in Batch Organize/Permissions/Set Safety Filter, the setting is shown as safe but the photos do not show in the photostream for a non-loggedin user. Double clicking the photo in Batch Organize to bring up a settings window for a single photo and clicking on "Filters" shows the safety filter set to "moderate". If I change this to "safe" and save, the problem is solved.

There appears to be an error in the safety filter setting displayed in the "Batch Organize" view, but only when the photo has been published from Lightroom. Manually uploading via Flickr-uploadr or using the web browser uploader does not result in this problem.

Any suggestions ?

Hi fotografm, welcome to the forum!

Have you checked in the Flickr settings in the Publish panel - the dialog where you choose what size etc to upload? I'm pretty sure, off the top of my head, that I remember seeing the safety filter setting at the bottom of that dialog.

Hi Victoria. Thank you so much. I hadn´t seen the Flickr settings panel recently. Took a bit of finding but sure enough - there was the problem..

Next: LR3 often is "downloading comments" after a publish to Flickr, but I can´t find where to look at these after they are downloaded.

You'll find them in the Comment panel, bottom right, and it'll only be active when you're viewing a Publish Collection.
