hi, how do you fix wonky horizons- that is the sea level isnt straight, it curves downwards into the center and back upto the level on the right side. Is there a tool in lightroom for this? thanks

Wonky is a new term for me. Basically, you can only fix the straight but crooked horizon using the angle tool like what Erro said.

There's a popular little plugin called PT Lens which should be able to sort it out for you as an alternative to Photoshop.

Yup, that's what I use. I've set it up as an external editor in LR2.4.

Absolutely Bob. It's relatively inexpensive ($15 IIRC). It integrates directly into PS as a plugin, and works fine as an external editor in LR. Obviously as an external editor, LR will create a bitmapped image (TIFF or whatever) to pass to the editor (in exactly the same way as it does when you choose to edit in PS), but that's a restriction of LR's integration with any external editor, rather than any limitation with the PTLens plugin.
It copes well with the barrel distortion in wide images from my Canon 17-85mm.
I got a Canon 55-25'mm a while back, and the PTLens database didn't contain corrections for that lens. I followed the instructions on the PTLens website for shooting some calibration images with the lens, sent them off to the PTLens guy, and got back an updated PTLens within about 2 days with support for that lens.
I suppose it depends on what lens(es) you have, but from your posting, you imply that you do have some images that would benefit from some distortion correction, so I would contend that paying $15 for PTLens is a no-brainer for you. ;-)

I'll give PT Lens another endorsement. It does a great job at removing lens distortions.
