Fixed input source location?

Can I fix the location from where I import pictures in LR (so NOT where the files are copied to after import, but the source location where the files are picked up)?

Other than using the automatic import, I don't think it's possible.
However, you can click on "Select source" (on the top left of the import window), to show a list of the recent sources with the most recent on top. Not exactly what you're looking for, but easier and faster that browsing thru the folders tree.
