There is! Select ALL Collections, then click on All Photos, Edit - Invert Selection. Then all the photos selected will be ones not in a Collection (perhaps click B to add them to Quick Collection so you can work through, remember to clear the Quick Collection before you start of course)

In the Collections Panel, click on the first collection and then shift-click on the last collection. That selects all the collections, so then go into Grid view and do Ctrl+A which will select all the images in all the collections. Then, with them all still selected, click on All Photographs in the Catalog panel and do the Edit>Invert Selection. That then will deselect all the images that are in collections, and select all the images that are not in collections. At that point you need to add all those selected non-collection images either to the Quick Collection, or to a new collection, or find some other way to subdsequently identify them (such as a special keyword, or a colour label).
