Very happy to have found this forum! Sorry to start out with a what is probably a silly question.

I can't seem to find a way to filter by file type. I'm sure I'm looking at it, but not seeing it.on

I often have need to see just tif or jpg files. Can this be done?

Also, does anyone know if Stacking is ever going to be corrected to work with files in different folders? I never mix file types in a folder. So this would be a big help in version control.

Thanks!

Filtering by filetype is in the new filter panel. Access it with the \ key. Click on Metadata to display the filtering panels (or whatever they are called) then choose File Type in the drop-down list of one of the panels.

Regarding your stacking question, it isn't in LR2 and unlikely to make it. I think an implementation is far more complicated under the covers than people realize.

Thank you so much for the quick reply! I appreciate it.

Too bad about the stacking. I'm sure it's a bit of a push, but for sure can be done. Just look at idimager pro. Does if for any number of versions where ever they are located. This is a serious limitation of LR's DAM capabilities. But there's always future versions. LOL

Thanks again!

The stacking will almost definitely be done at some point, but there's just a lot of requests, and not enough hours in the day, so things have to be prioritised. Hopefully one day though!

Apparently the LR developers didn't get the memo to push my requests to the top of the list. LOL

Funny how some things are so important to some people, and not even an interest to others. And how they will argue about it. I was reading a thread on some site about how they think it's a waste to have all the focus points my 1dsMIII or a D3 has and that they only need the central point and that the fps is something that should be the same as the MIII. I have no use for 1'fps in my work, but the multiple focus points are a boon. Different strokes...

OK, have to send that memo again!

Thanks!
