I select a folder of images in the Library and then enter the filter bar (metadata) to see the creation dates of the images. A screen shot is attached and shows that date as 10th June. I close the filter bar and go to another folder and do the same thing. A screen shot is attached and as can be seen the date is 12th June but it is also showing the 10th June albeit with no images recorded (not surprising as there are no images dated the 10th in the folder). This happens if the padlock is locked or open. Is this a bug?

When the padlock is locked (File > Library Filters > Lock Filters checked) and you switch from one folder to another, the filter settings stay exactly the same. When you were in the first folder, you selected June 10 in the Date column. When you select the second folder, the filter settings are preserved, and in particular, the Date column has June 10 selected. LR wants to show you an accurate representation of the filter settings, so it continues to show June 10 selected, with zero matching photos. It do think it's not the best design that in the second folder, June 10 is displayed as "10 Tuesday".

When padlock is unlocked (File > Library Filters > Lock Filters unchecked), I can't replicate the behavior. Can you post a screen recording of the entire LR window showing the precise steps you take to make the behavior occur?
