Filmstrip images keeps scrolling!

I did a search on this but can't find anything related to this issue.

Every now and again, the images in the filmstrip will keep scrolling, on their own accord, to the last image.

If I move to another image anywhere in the filmstrip, it will scroll, again, to the last image.

The only way to stop it is to restart Lightroom.

I'm on version 2.2 on a Windows XP laptop.

Am I the only one experiencing this issue?

First upgrade to LR2.3 as this release solved a lot of unusual issues.

I have had this happen once or twice to me on a Vista laptop. A quick shutdown and reboot has solved the problem and it has not been annoying enough to cause any undo stress. It hasn't happened for quite a while, so maybe 2.3 fixed whatever the problem was?

I thought may be it was just me :-)
It was not an issue but just an annoyance when it happened several times in the same session.

I've now upgraded to 2.3. So, fingers crossed, it won't happen again!

It was a known problem with a previous version but we didn't heard of it in a while... No one reported that problem again under 2.3.

this has been happening to me intermittently for some versions, and this evening occurred twice with 2.4, so it hasn't gone away.

it seems mainly to go awry after a few hours work in the develop section and it's particularly irritating when you're trying to sync images, only for them to whizz out of reach as the filmstrip flies past !

closing and reopening LR sorts it out, but only until the next time...

Yes its happened to me a couple of time recently as well. Was not sure whether I had a sticky key or perhaps a faulty mouse. I closed and restarted LR and it went away.

I had a similar thing happen when trying to log into hotmail ! The curser kept jumping back (left) to the start of the typing so everything go typed backwards ! Very strage and I put it down to my optical mouse. never happened again.

I'm on v2.6, and it's still happening for me. Does anyone know of a better fix than restarting?

You aren't, by chance, using a tablet and a mouse-both hooked up at the same time?

No, I only have a mouse. I'll try to work out how to reproduce it.

It has happened to me also on occasions. There appears to be no rhyme or reason for it and it comes without warning and only goes away after shutting down the computer and restarting. Its obviously a conflict bug somewhere in the software. Touch wood it had not happened for a while.

Its not a show stopper but it is very annoying when it happens.

Used to happen, again no rhyme nor reason....a vague feeling that my pc was being stretched maybe, but nothing obvious. Can't recall it happening since upgrading to 2.6, but as it's still happening for one of the earlier posters who is also on 2.6 it may be irrelevant. However, another major change was an upgrade to Win7 a few months back....maybe that's helped. Who knows, just glad it seems to have gone away....
