Filmstrip: How Restore Numerical Order?

How do I restore the photos in a film strip to numerical order?

I'd also be curious to know how in one particular filmstrip so many of my photos got out of order. They are far more mixed up than anything I intentionally did.

Numerical order? Is that by file name?
In the librarymodule > menubar go to View > Sort and choose your sortorder or
press G for Gridview and there in the toolbar you have sort by File name etc. (if you can´t find "sort" in the toolbar go to the far right, klick on the small down-arrow and choose Sorting).

I have no idea how it got messed up. Did you move them around while in grid-view? Did you do any kind of search and then cleared the search?

That did it. Thanks. Yes, I meant by filename as my filenames include a photo number. I still don't know how they got so mixed up. I don't think I searched for anything in this particular folder. But I'm glad I can get them sorted if it happens again. Regards.
