Film strip slider

My Film-strip Slider doesn't move the film-strip across the view. It jerks the film-strip, which then returns to the original position.

How do I cure this?

.....oh gracious! After closing down Lightroom and re-opening the program, the slider works as it should!

No, the film-strip is occasionally cited for irreproducible (hence difficult to debug/fix) 'flaky' behavior. Uncontrolled jumping to one end or the other is one complaint.
