File transfer to PSE6 from LR2 and back, not.

I open a file in LR2 then edit in PSE6 but when I click 'save' it doen't return the modified file to LR2 like it's supposed to. When I click 'save' the screen comes up with how and where you want it saved. I'm under the impression that it's supposed to just bring it back to LR2 with no fuss, no muss. Maybe it only works for the big Photoshop and not elements. Very frustrating.

I use the PSE5 editor, so things may be different than PSE6, but when I try the same thing you tried, the save command brings up the dialog box asking me where to save the edited photo. Now at this point, you have to tell the PSE Editor where to save the results of your edit ... there must be a physical file that Lightroom can find. "...it's supposed to just bring it back to LR2 with no fuss, no muss" -- I don't think so. Both Lightroom and PSE work with physical files, and so you have to tell PSE where to save the physical file.

So, if you save it in the folder that comes up, with the name that comes up, everything transfers back to Lightroom just fine. When you do the save and click OK, it will ask you if you want to overwrite the .tif file of the same name, you should say Yes in this case.
