file problem

So I was using my hard drive on lightroom and lightroom had a problem and shut down. I tried reopening it and it said that my catalogue was already open and being used and I needed to close it to be able to open it on lightroom. How do I fix this?

If that doesn't do it, look in the folder where the Lr catalog file (*.lrcat) is stored, and see if there's a file named *.lrcat.lock. If it's present while Lr is not open, just delete it. If there's a *.lrcat.journal file, leave that one alone.

On a default Win XP installation, the catalog will be in My Pictures\Lightroom\....
