I work on wedding photos in lightroom. Often I will make a virtual copy of a pic and apply a black and white effect , and then I may take another copy into photoshop and back to add some spot colour.
When I 've finished with the whole process , I will out put to a web show for the client to see.
The problem I am having is that the file names in the outputted webshow are not the same as the file names in lightroom. I vaguely remember setting somthing about filenaming but can't put my finger on it. Can somebody suggest a process so that I get the same filename in both?

Dave, it seems to be working OK for me. I.e. when I use {filename} as a text token in the Caption field in a Lr Web page, it's the same for both the original and the VC. Can you give a more detailed description of what you're doing, and seeing?

Hi Brad
I think I may have got my head around the problem. If the original photo was called ''1 , then if I made a copy this is called ''1 - copy 1. If I then made another copy and added a sepia effect this was also showing as ''1 - copy 1 in grid view but on the webshow it showed as ''1 - copy 1 - copy 1.
It would appear that there is a second menu in grid view that I have enabled to show the copy name. This looks like it will work for me although I think there must be an easier way to name the files.
I'll have to look at the file naming section.
Thanks for taking a look.
