Hi,

I am trying to set up several presets for when I want to continue editing in Photoshop CS3. I set it up in preferences and when I go to "Photo" drop down menu all of the presets I set up are in "Edit In" ... then when I use it NONE of the presets hold. No matter what I set it at ... when I open it in Photoshop and check my image size it is 16 bit, 3'' DPI, with an srbg color space.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you,
Helen

I have just tested this in LR 2.3 on a Mac and it worked OK.

I created a preset with 8bit sRGB with a DPI of 96 called "8bit sRGB" LR warned me that it already had detected PS CS4 and it was the default editor, so clicked 'Create Anyway' to go ahead.

The I selected an image and right clicked, selected 'Edit In' and chose the preset "8bit sRGB" and it opened in PS CS4 with the correct settings.

I didn't know you could do this so I actually learnt something today too !

Hey Sizzlingbadger,

Thanks ... I am thinking about a reinstall of both LR and PS to see if that works it out. It used to work and now it lets me make the preset... but thats about it. I have taken to exporting and the opening it in PS. Seriously interrupts the work flow.

Glad my post help you learn something.

Note that the OP was talking about CS3. There were substantial changes in Lr integration between CS3 and CS4. Don't know if that's actually the problem here.
Hi Brad,

This actually used to work so I don't think that is the problem. I am planning on upgrading and if the reinstall does not work it out ... maybe sooner than later.
