"Fadding" LightRoom effects

"Fading" LightRoom effects

Is it possible to "fade" a Lightroom effect, just like I can fade the transparency of a layer in Photoshop. (I esspecially want to do this with some of the development presets that I have downloaded, and where the effect is too harsh).:cheesy:

the only way to diminnish the effect over the picture would be different amounts on each adjustment...so another "preset".
normal blending mode + transparency would be linear(proportional) variation i guess .that could work for what u want if would be implemented but some adjustments could need non linear (proportional) variation so could not work as simple.

also, PS offers a lot more blending modes which create a much more powerfull tool.


in the mean time u just develope the 2 versions and go to PS...

also u could try to adapt the preset , lowering/rising different adjustments until u obtain the effect u like and then save your own preset. is much more simple... presets are anyway not a big deal to do, having a model that produce an interesting effect would make the creation process much more easy, u have a starting point to guide u ...

regarding sugestion list it would be good idea to request such thing, better integration /ability to implement layer related functions into LR...
