Can anyone help - Its probabaly a setting somewhere that I have switched on or off when messing around with the menu's ( I know its best to leave as is). When I am in Library mode and right click on a thumbnail and select Edit in Photoshop CS - I then carry out the necessary editing and save and close the image. But the thumbnail image in LR usually rotates 9' degrees and in some cases stretches to distort.

The only way I can resolve it is each time I have to right click on "thumbnail" select "Metadata" and then select "read Metadata from files" and hey presto it all sorted. This is only a recent occurance, so I assume it is something I have done.

Any suggestions ....

Thanks
Phil

Have these files been through another program first Phil? It usually happens as a result of a tag left by another program. Or are you rotating in PS?

Many thanks for the reply - All I am doing is viewing the original in Lightroom and then using Photoshop as the external editor. Then when I close and save in photoshop the images then rotates in the lightroom thumbnail. No other programmes are involved. Is there anything I can do to avoid this happening ?

Many thanks
Phil

Very odd Phil. Anything specific you can see about the files this happens to? Particular camera? Anything you're doing within Photoshop? What happens if you Export rather than Edit With, and then import that into LR?

Phil, are you saving your Photoshop edits as a PSD of TIFF? I have experienced the same thing frequently when saving my photoshop files as a PSD.
